Crafted from weather-proof Alu-Rattan and ArtFibre materials, the Fox Outdoor Chair has been designed specifically for exterior use, whilst doubling up as an iconic chair for interior living spaces. Alu-Rattan is weatherproof powder coated aluminium and ArtFibre is artificial fibers made of maintenance-free polyethylene that can withstand the sun's UV radiation. Due to the weatherproof materials, the furniture can withstand being outside throughout the year without maintenance. Danish architect and designer Viggo Boesen had an influential career, establishing himself within Danish modernsim of the 1930s and 40s, pioneering organic furniture design. From his workshop he designed a collection of rattan and upholstered furniture with the emphasis on organic forms and flowing lines. Boesen was awarded the Danish Wicker-maker design guild for the Fox Chair in 1936.
