It seems Iris Apfel was destined to make an impact on the creative scene from day one. Born into a family who owned two creative businesses, one in glassware production and the other in fashion, this led to a natural progression into a similar footpath.
Apfel achieved successful ventures with the likes of industry heavyweights Women’s Wear Daily, along with interior designer Elinor Johnson and illustrator Robert Goodman and over this time gained incredible experience and exposure.
"Life is grey and dull; you might as well have a little fun when you dress"
Her bold and colourful style has seen her top best-dressed lists over the decades making her one of the most recognised fashion icons today. Apfel’s maximalist approach to design caught the attention of Nude glassware who are known for their minimal aesthetic.
Their vision was to join the two, somewhat separate worlds, to create a striking collection of images to launch their latest glassware collections. You can browse the nude collection online and visit us in store to see our #LDF18 exhibition.
