IWD 2026: Visionary Creatives in Design

In honour of International Women’s Day 2026, we’re celebrating the careers of six visionary creatives breaking barriers in the world of design and paving the way for the next generation. At the heart of the United Nations’ IWD campaign this year is the advocation of equal rights and justice for all women and girls around the world.

Studiopepe

Based in Milan, Studiopepe have become globally recognised for their sense of innovation and eclectic design philosophy. The Studio takes a multidisciplinary approach to all of its projects, underpinned by the use of tactile materials and inviting forms.

“Style is not a concept related to form. For us, style is a precise attitude to design, an attention to the material, to the harmony of the elements that compose it and to the environment.” - Studiopepe

Simposio

The Simposio Sofa, designed by Studiopepe for Saba, was awarded the Archiproducts accolade for furniture design in 2024. Simposio serves as a place of dialogue, to ignite conversation, a place where ideas come to life, both in intimate living spaces and larger hospitality spaces. For the launch of Simposio at Milan Design Week Studiopepe re-imagined the Milanese showroom as a collector’s room, inspired by cinematic environments, the installation housed artworks, photography and video art interventions around the theme of desire.
