Back in 1992 Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby sparked off a friendship during their studies together at the Royal College of Art and shortly after graduation they opened their first studio in Notting Hill. Their approach to design is characterised by experimentation and innovation, placing the user’s interaction with the object at the forefront of the process.
Barber Osgerby’s designs have established themselves as future classics for a new generation, with examples of their work held in the permanent collections of the V&A, the Design Museum and the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art. In 2007 they were awarded the title of "Royal Designers for Industry" by the British Royal Society of Arts.
