The Metsälampi jacquard linen cloth is sustainably crafted at Lapuan Kankurit’s weaving mill in Lapua, Finland. This versatile 100% linen textile transitions effortlessly between uses — as a light throw, a picnic blanket, or a relaxed tablecloth. Its washed linen finish is designed to be naturally crinkled, eliminating the need for ironing and giving it a casual, effortless charm.
Designed in collaboration with Japanese designer Akira Minagawa, the visionary behind the minä perhonen brand, Metsälampi reflects his signature style: romantic, naïve, and imaginative. Akira draws inspiration from his own memories, bringing them to life through whimsical, joyful designs. The Metsälampi pattern celebrates the Finnish landscape, capturing its lush forests, rolling mountains, and serene bodies of water, resulting in a collection that is colorful, playful, and full of character.
Made from 100% washed European linen, all yarns are spun and dyed in Europe according to REACH regulations and meet ÖKO-TEX certification standards, ensuring both quality and responsible production. Every detail—from the jacquard weaving to the choice of sustainable linen—highlights Lapuan Kankurit’s dedication to timeless craftsmanship.
