The Pihapuu throw by Lapuan Kankurit brings together luxuriously soft warmth and a gently nature-inspired aesthetic — pihapuu meaning “yard tree” in Finnish. Designed by Saara Obele, the three-colour pattern is beautifully reversible, appearing on the reverse side in contrasting shades. Fine, delicate fringes complete the piece with a light, refined finish.
Woven from an exceptionally soft blend of merino wool and bio-organic cotton, the Pihapuu throw has a smooth, comforting feel that’s pleasant even against bare skin. Each blanket is crafted in the town of Lapua, Finland, at Lapuan Kankurit’s own family-run weaving mill — fittingly named “the weavers of Lapua.
