Luce Sferica Suspension Light

Designed by Ronan Bouroullec for Flos, Luce Sferica is a sculptural suspension light, combining a poetic vision with exquisite craftsmanship. Marrying industrial and handcrafted aesthetics, this feature light installation references translucent raindrops resting on a wire. The luminous body has a visually lightweight and ethereal quality, attained by the transparent glass spheres, each housing a warm light diffuser. The interior horizontal body is crafted from polished extruded aluminium, housing two LED strips: emitting the light upwards and downwards. At one end of the bar is an innovative touch dimmer, allowing the light to be directed upwards, downwards, or both, with each output being independently dimmable. The series of transparent glass spheres of equal diameter 18cm are crafted with centuries-old glass blowing techniques.

Materials: Polished extruded aluminium body with two LED strips for upward and downward emission. Integrated touch dimmer enables independent control of light outputs. Body encased in a sequence of hand-blown transparent glass spheres separated by traditional spacers.
