A design icon that has defined comfort for over fifty years, the Togo Fireside Chair by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset is as relevant today as when it first appeared in 1973. Low-slung, deeply enveloping, and unmistakably sculptural, it is the chair you sink into and never want to leave – equally at home as a standalone statement or as part of a Togo arrangement.

This version is upholstered in Tablu – a hand-stitched animal-print fabric that brings a bold, graphic energy to the Togo’s iconic quilted silhouette. Available in Panthère and Zébresse colourways, Tablu transforms the Togo into an unambiguous statement piece without compromising a single element of its legendary comfort.

Construction & Comfort

  • Five densities of high-quality polyether and high-resilience polyurethane foam provide soft yet supportive comfort
  • Elasticity reinforced by buttoned threads – the signature quilted pleating is both structural and aesthetic
  • Oversized covers generously quilted with polyester
  • Hand-stitched upholstery throughout

About the Designer

Michel Ducaroy trained at the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Lyon and spent his career at Roset, designing across upholstery, contract furniture, and youth ranges. The Togo – conceived at the dawn of the foam era – remains his most celebrated work and one of the most recognisable silhouettes in twentieth-century furniture design.
