Villiyrtit Linen Tablecloth

The Villiyrtit tablecloth, designed by Matti Pikkujämsä for Lapuan Kankurit, is decorated with a lively, organic pattern that celebrates the small botanical treasures of Finnish nature — villiyrtit, meaning wild herbs. The motif is fully reversible, appearing in opposite colours on the other side, giving the cloth a versatile, double-sided character.

Crafted from high-quality linen, the cloth is wonderfully multifunctional. It elevates everyday table settings as a beautiful tablecloth, yet its lightness and softness make it equally suitable as a summer throw, a curtain that filters daylight, or even a picnic mat for warm afternoons outdoors. Each piece is woven at Lapuan Kankurit’s own weaving mill in Finland, where traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design come together with characteristic Nordic clarity.
