Astro Lava Lamp

The iconic Astro Lava Lamp was invented by Edward Craven Walker in 1963. Since then, Mathmos have continued to manufacture this Pop Design classic in Dorset ever since. The special formulae of wax and oil melt together to create a transfixing and relaxing flow of colourful shapes, illuminated from below. The Astro shape is the original design, and comes in a variety of colour combinations, some with matt black base and cap. The heat source is a 35W GU10 halogen reflector lamp, which is included in the box.

The light is made in Britain, the aluminium body being hand-spun for a high shine.
