About the design

Elegant from every angle, the Fred™ lounge chair is a nod to calm and comfortable living. Designed by Jaime Hayon for Fritz Hansen, the chair features a low, open silhouette and a sculpted wooden frame, assembled with care by hand. Wide, flat armrests and upright seating support the back and arms – ideal for long periods of socialising or reading. It is available in a choice of four oak frame finishes, each paired with a range of upholstery options.

This Fred chair has the Acca fabric options available to choose, from the swatch set. Acca fabric is a fine bouclé material by Kvadrat. 35% viscose, 35% recycled cotton, 25% recycled polyester, 7% recycled polyacrylic. Martindale: 50,000 (high abrasion resistance)

About the designer

Born in Spain in 1974, artist and designer Jaime Hayon draws inspiration from a broad range of cultural sources, from baroque and circus to skateboard culture. His work conveys warmth, humour and playfulness, and has enriched the Fritz Hansen collection since 2011 with enduringly popular designs. From decorative vases and candleholders to sofas, tables and chairs, Hayon pieces create unique and joyful atmospheres.
