Inspired by the traditional Moroccan footstool, the Ottoman sofa by Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance for Ligne Roset brings a soft, sculptural presence to the living room. Its design began with a concept for a hotel in Marrakech. Although the hotel project never came to fruition, the idea developed into a sofa that combines enveloping comfort with distinctive quilting and colour.

Contrasting fabrics on the seat and back and around the outer edge emphasise its rounded, pebble-like form. The gently enclosing seat creates an inviting place to settle in and unwind.

• Interior: Alcantara ‘Sea Sand’ – 68% polyester, 32% polyurethane
• Exterior: Steelcut Trio 3 ‘Lichen’ – 90% wool, 10% polyamide

Construction and comfort

• Base and external section in polyether foam.
• Enveloping, bucket-style seat and back in moulded polyurethane foam, with a comfort layer of high-resilience polyurethane Bultex foam.
