The PICO was designed by Franco Clivio, a product designer born in 1942. After studying at the college of design in Ulm, he worked for many prestigious companies such as FSB, Gardena and Siemens. His contributions to design have been recognised with multiple awards. Working both as a designer and a lecturer in Zürich, he is profoundly interested in everyday objects that enrich our lives through functional and technical finesse. He says: ‘The most important thing is what happens in my head before I produce a design. Suddenly I look at things differently: I see them more precisely.’
