Founder Isabel Saiz works closely with exceptional artists and designers to create their exclusive prints. Beginning with an illustration, each unique design is crafted with the highest-quality materials that combine the beauty of the artwork with highly functional design. The exquisite prints are laminated over the highest quality eucalyptus board before a protective melamine coating is applied. They feature non-slip, black Baize or natural cork on the underside. These tablemats are both beautiful and functional; they are durable, easy to clean and resistant to heat and staining. Isabel Saiz founded Avenida in 2010, translating to ‘avenue’ in Spanish. The word’s connotations of adventure and discovery chime with Saiz’s intention to bring ‘new and unexpected designs, beauty and quality to home accessories’. With a background in marketing and the art sector, Avenida is the perfect fusion of her business and creative skills.
