Designed by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset in 1973, the Togo Corner Seat is the most enveloping piece in the Togo family – a deep, wrap-around form that cradles you from every angle. Use it alone as a generous single seat, or combine it with sofas and fireside chairs to build a fully modular Togo arrangement.

This version is upholstered in Phlox by Kvadrat, a fabric designed by Raf Simons – a wide corduroy with a velvety, three-dimensional texture. Bold 7mm parallel ribs create a graphic, multi-dimensional surface that reflects light and shifts in tone as you move around it. Soft, short-cut pile with a sensuous touch and a retro 1970s character that feels entirely contemporary. Available in a range of rich colours.

Construction & Comfort

  • Five densities of high-quality polyether and high-resilience polyurethane foam provide soft yet supportive comfort
  • Elasticity reinforced by buttoned threads – the signature quilted pleating is both structural and aesthetic
  • Oversized covers generously quilted with polyester
  • Hand-stitched upholstery throughout
  • Modular – pairs with the Togo Sofas, Fireside Chair, and Footstool

About the Designer

Michel Ducaroy trained at the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Lyon and spent his career at Ligne Roset, designing across upholstery, contract furniture, and youth ranges. The Togo – conceived at the dawn of the foam era – remains his most celebrated work and one of the most recognisable silhouettes in twentieth-century furniture design.
