An expertly designed and striking lamp, Tolomeo balances clean lines, a simple shade shape and delicate suspension. It features cantilevered arms crafted in polished aluminium that allow you to easily adjust the light and create the perfect atmosphere. Its diffuser is crafted from parchment paper on a plastic frame, enabling varied levels of illumination. Extremely versatile, it is equally suitable for use in homes, offices or hotels. Designed by Michele De Lucchi & Giancarlo Fassina. Michele was born in Ferrare in 1951 and studied architecture in Florence. A major player in radical and experimental architecture, he has designed lamps and furnishing items for the most renowned Italian and European companies. His professional capacity has always been supported by his personal studies on design, drawing and technology. He has received several international award and his works can be found exhibited in main museums in Europe, the U.S. and Japan. Giancarlo Fassina studied architecture at the Milan Politecnico, where he focused on light design. Exploring all forms and expressions, Fassina’s work demonstrates a meticulous attention to detail, studying shadows, camera angles and exposures. He has collaborated with many prestigious lighting companies throughout his carer and has created many impressive installations for exhibitions and museums. The duo were awarded the Compasso d’Oro in 1989 for designing the Tolomeo.
