The Tolomeo Micro table lamp is an iconic design by Artemide. Highly stylish and functional, this desk lamp will provide the quality light that is required for illuminating your work station or interior. The award winning Tolomeo Micro was designed by Michele De Lucchi & Giancarlo Fassina. It features a fully-adjustable, articulated arm crafted in aluminium that allows you to eaily adjust levels of illumination to suit the occasion. A sleek and minimal design, it is a highly versatile lamp that makes a wonderful lamp for your table, desk or bedside reading. Joints, tension control knobs and mountings are in polished die-cast aluminium, and cables are crafted from stainless steel. The diffuser is made of stamped, anodised matte aluminium, tiltable and 360 degree rotatable on lampholder with incorporated on/off switch. Also available in a range of anodised colours. Designed by Michele De Lucchi & Giancarlo Fassina. Michele was born in Ferrare in 1951 and studied architecture in Florence. A major player in radical and experimental architecture, he has designed lamps and furnishing items for the most renowned Italian and European companies. His professional capacity has always been supported by his personal studies on design, drawing and technology. He has received several international award and his works can be found exhibited in main museums in Europe, the U.S. and Japan. Giancarlo Fassina studied architecture at the Milan Politecnico, where he focused on light design. Exploring all forms and expressions, Fassina’s work demonstrates a meticulous attention to detail, studying shadows, camera angles and exposures. He has collaborated with many prestigious lighting companies throughout his carer and has created many impressive installations for exhibitions and museums. The duo were awarded the Compasso d’Oro in 1989 for designing the Tolomeo.
