Toio Floor Lamp

By Flos

£780.00

Designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in 1962 the Toio lamp is jokingly named after the English word 'toy'. The lamp has an industrial look, and is based on the Dadaist concept of using ready-made objects as the main elements of the design structure. The electrical wire is pinned with fishing rod screws, and the steel base comes in various playful colours. The lamp is also fitted with a dimmer to adjust the atmospheric non-direct light to suit the interior.

This iconic lamp is multi award winning, even earning a place in the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
